Teabag Folding Music Cardlayer - Shaz G.

 1. The tea bag folding sheet has two square sizes per sheet. Take eight small squares of the Golden Music Teabag Folding Paper, and carefully cut them out and then fold into the traditional star pattern (click here for folding guide)

2. There are four star patterns that may be formed when folding, depending on how you fold the squares. Each view is different - I liked this one best. I use a glue stick with Tea Bag Folding, as I find this least messy.
3. Cut a circle in a co-ordinating colour of scrap card to match the size of the tea bag using Nestabilities Standard Circles Small S4-116. Then cut a black scallop with a corresponding size die using Nestabilities Classic Scallop Circle Small S4-125  and emboss both of these with the Tan Mat Embossing Mat and a Cuttlebug or embossing machine of your choice.
4. Mount the folded tea bag on the top of the circle with double sided (DST) tape.  Add scalloped mount and folded tea bag with DST to cardlayer.

5. Cut brown card to size and adhere the cardlayer (see picture).

6. Use brads at the top to match brown card and a black ribbon at the bottom of the card layer. . Attach black card base to finished top section of card to it. To finish add a gold Happy Birthday peel off greeting to top right corner.
 Materials
Small brads
.
This is another variation of this card using the Music Blues Tea Bag Folding Paper

  1. Using the large tea bag squares this time, cut out four squares and fold as before in the traditional star pattern. Then when you come tostep 4 of the folding do the extra folds as shown in the diagram folding the top two triangles into the centre (step 5). Bring the tips down to meet with the top and pinch them open (step 6).
  2. When you have the four pieces completed, paste them onto a scrap piece of card. Trim it to a 5 x 5cm square so none of the base card is showing. Attach a pearl brad to centre.

3.Take another of the Luxury Card Layer A6 - Ivory Music Notes and spray with a suitable spray.
I used a blue and silver mist mixed together to achieve the colour e.g. Perfect Pearls Mist - Perfect Pearl and Perfect Pearls Mist - Forever Blue 60ml.
Allow to dry.

TIP: Then to flatten the card layer after spray has dried, use an iron set to the dry (not steam) setting and iron it between two sheets of Non Stick Oven Bake Paper (not waxed paper) with a the iron set on low temperature.
4. Mount the coloured music layer onto deep blue card to match the size of the card you want to make, and attach to a black card base with double-sided tape.

with black and blue Peel-Off Markers.
6.Attach the mounted  tea bag to the lower right of the music cardlayer with double-sided tape and then add the greeting to the top right of the card.
If desired add some small black rhinestones in the corners of the cardlayer.
A another lovely teabag card is completed.
Materials:
Deep blue & black card
Pearl silver brad, four small back rhinestones

Sharon, I think it's great that you have shared two designs using the Luxury Card Layers and teabag folding technique! I think they're gorgeous cards and would be suitable for males or females.

Shaz, both cards are delightful, as Vicky said you could use them for male or female.
Wonderful that the Teabag papers matched the Luxury Layer Card perfectly.
